VINTAGE TURKISH POSTAGE STAMP

5 kurus stamp (turquoise blue) printed in 1973 by Turk Tarih Kurumu Basimevi (Turkish Historical Society Printingpress) as a solute to the Turkish Naval Academy. Depicting a training ship with crew in Turkish waters. The amblem of the academy is printed on the top right corner.
Kurus was worth 100th of a Turkish Lira (TL) before the removal of the 6 zeros from the end to start the new lira. It has been long out of circulation.
