VINTAGE TURKISH POSTAGE STAMP
All out of circulation.
225,000 Lira (old lira, and yes, that is twohundred twenty five thousand liras) stamp printed in 1999 at Damla Matbaasi (Damla Printingpress) in Ankara. Depicting I have no idea what. It appears to be a couple of hands holding out some waterworks, maybe water treatment, maybe toilet plumbing, with some daisies coming out of it. There is "Thank you" written in various languages circling the image. So I am not sure what it signifies. If you do you are welcome to it. :D
In the early 2000s I think they removed the last 6 zeros from the Turkish Lira to call it new Turkish Lira. This stamp was in circulation before the zeros were removed.
