250 kurus stamp printed in 1977 by Turk Tarih Kurumu Basimevi (Turkish History Foundation Printinghouse) in an effort to promote the planting trees and encouraging attempts in reforestation and forest preservation.
Kurus was worth 100th of a Turkish Lira (TL) before the removal of the 6 zeros from the end to start the new lira. It has been long out of circulation.
